Maroon and gold apparel, washers, barbeque and RVs mean one thing in Bobcat Country – A Texas State University tailgate.

Before the Bobcats battled it out with McNeese State on October 6, the real game started in the parking lot outside of the stadium’s gates.  Students, alumni and fans gathered to eat, drink and ramp up game-day spirit at the official Texas State tailgate.

Numerous student organizations were present at the event.  Hip Hop Congress, a well-known organization on campus, had a live DJ playing music on a large stage in the center of the main tailgate.

Alumni of Texas State and the former Southwest Texas joined the current students in the game day festivities, bringing with them past memories and enthusiasm for Bobcat football.

“It’s just so good to come out here and support football and be a part of all the fun and excitement and atmosphere,” said an alumnus.
